Impressive dark pink tourmaline triple necklace with Tumbaga “Rey de Marco” gold pendant. Costa Rica. 800-1500 AD. Cast Tumbaga pendant depicting a central framed figure with a wing type element above his head and below his feet. Anthropomorphic body with a large zoomorphic head, looking downwards, open toothy mouth. Gold surface with areas of blue-green crystallized patina. Left arm reattached, some loss in the center of the lower frame, together with a few very minor flakes. Single suspension loop on the reverse. Custom wood display stand.
